You must contact your Town Chairman and request a burning permit. He/She will give you a number which the Sheriff’s Office will then request and verify. All burns expire after 12 hours. After 12 hours you must submit another burn request if you wish to continue burning. A burn request can be called into the Pepin County Communications Center or you may also fill out the form below. Once you send the form contact the Sheriff’s Office at 715-672-5944 to verify they have received the request via email. All that is required at that time is your full name. If you do not verify with the Sheriff’s Office that we have received your burn request we are not responsible for any fines occurred if the Fire Department is called to your address.
